The Chat tab in a deal's sidebar is that deal's own conversation — everyone assigned as an employee on the deal is in it automatically.

Save the texts your team sends most at Settings → Text Templates, then pick one from the Template button in the text composer — it fills in the contact's name, your name and the team, and you can edit it before sending. The Texts & Calls tab on a deal, and the timeline on a contact, show every text and call with that person in order, lets you text them right from the tab (starting from a saved text template if you like), links new ones to the right deal automatically when it can, plays call recordings, lets you link a stray text or call to the right deal, and alerts you to new texts, missed calls and voicemails.
