Broadcasting deal events to Comms

Last updated 2026-07-19

Comms Automation (in Settings) controls whether TED posts an automatic system message into a deal's linked conversation whenever certain things happen on that deal — the same "Deal activity" messages you'll see in Chatting about a deal.

Turning it on

The Deal Event Broadcasting switch at the top enables or disables all of it. With it on, six event types can each be toggled independently:

  • Status Changes — the deal's pipeline status changes.
  • Automator Milestones — an automator completes on the deal.
  • Employee Changes — someone's assigned or removed as an employee.
  • Vendor Changes — a vendor is added or removed.
  • Financial Events — an expense is added above a threshold you set.
  • Checklist Completions — a checklist item is completed.

Each toggle shows a preview of the message it would post.

Thresholds

Two settings limit how much financial noise gets posted: Minimum Expense Amount (in dollars) and Minimum Profit Change (as a percent) — only events at or above what you set are broadcast.

Select Save Changes after adjusting anything; Reset discards unsaved changes back to what was last saved.
