Removing a team member

Last updated 2026-10-20

Settings > Team Members (admin only) is where you remove someone from your team.

Removing someone

  1. Select the ⋯ menu on their row, then Remove.
  2. Confirm in the Remove Team Member dialog. The dialog warns that this can't be undone and that they'll immediately lose access to the team and all its resources.
  3. Select Remove Member.

They can be re-invited later if needed — see Inviting a team member.

Removing someone doesn't change who owns their contacts and companies. If they still own any, the dialog says so — for example "Alex still owns 42 contacts and 3 companies." — with a Transfer their book first? link that opens Transfer book for them. You can also select Transfer book… on the row's menu. Either way, see Transferring a teammate's book. The nudge never blocks removal, and you can still transfer their book afterwards.

You can't remove yourself from this list — ask another admin to do it.

Common issues

  • "You can’t remove the last admin from this team." — every team needs at least one admin. Give the admin role to someone else first — see Managing team member roles.
