Rating and favoriting contacts

Last updated 2026-10-23

Reviews show in two places. The contact's quick side panel — select a contact from the Contact Hub to open it — has a Reviews tab listing every review of them. The full profile page shows the team rating and the favourite star in its header, and each type's tab (Buyer, Lender, Agent, and so on) has a Reviews as a ⟨type⟩ card with only the reviews for that role. See Viewing a contact for the rest of what's on each.

Favouriting a contact

The star icon above the tabs (in the side panel) or beside the team rating (in the full page's header) marks a contact as your team's favourite. A filled amber star means it's starred; select it again to remove the favourite. This is shared across your team, not personal to you.

Rating a contact

You rate someone on what they did for you, so a review belongs to a role: the same person can be a great buyer and a slow lender.

  • On the profile page, open the tab for the role you're rating and select Leave a review on its Reviews as a ⟨type⟩ card. Pick 1 to 5 stars and optionally add a comment. The review shows on that tab only. A tab with none yet says "No reviews as a ⟨type⟩ yet".
  • In the side panel, the Reviews tab shows your team's average rating and every review left so far, across all roles. Leave a review there asks Reviewing them as — pick the role (Buyer, Lender, and so on) and the review shows on that type's tab. A contact with only one type has it picked for you; a contact with no type gets a general review that counts toward the team rating but appears on no tab. The Details tab shows a compact summary of the same average.

The Team rating in the profile header is the average of every review, whatever the role.

Review prompts after a deal closes

When a deal you're on closes and this contact was part of it, a banner reading "Review pending from a closed deal" appears at the top of the side panel's Reviews tab, and on the profile page above the reviews card of the tab for the role they played on that deal (a buyer's prompt shows on their Buyer tab, not their Lender tab). Select Review to rate them for that deal — the review is filed under that role — or the X to dismiss the prompt without rating.

Reviews collected by an automator

An automator can ask for a rating as part of the work — a "How did the photographer do?" form with five stars, for example — and file it as a review (see Automator step types). Those reviews look like any other: they're left as the person who filled in the form (or the run's owner when nobody did), tied to the deal, and filed under the role the vendor had on it. A company vendor's review goes to the person linked to it on the deal, or else the company's main contact. If the deal closes after that, the review prompt for that person is already done.

Company ratings

A company doesn't have its own reviews — its rating on Viewing a company is the average of the reviews left for the contacts linked to it. It shows in the company's header and on a Reviews card on each of its type tabs; to add to it, review one of its people.
