My Tasks

Last updated 2026-10-13

Tasks, in the left-hand navigation, opens on the My Tasks tab — every automator task, approval, or waiting step assigned to you (or to a role you hold) across every deal, in one place.

How it's grouped

Tasks are grouped Needs attention, Waiting on you, Overdue, Today, This week, Later, Awaiting my verification (approvals you're set to verify), and On hold, each with a count. Waiting on you holds every Decision, Form, or Instruction step currently paused on you in an automator run — from any lane, not just deals you'd normally think to check — sorted with the longest-waiting step first. A waiting step that has a due date is grouped by that date instead, next to your tasks: it sits in Overdue, Today, This week or Later, and its row shows the date ("Due Tue Jul 8"), in amber once it has passed. If its run is paused, it moves to On hold like a paused run's task. If the run of a step with no due date gets paused (see Pausing and resuming a run) while it's blocked on you, the step stays in Waiting on you with a "Deal on hold" or "Run paused" badge and drops to the bottom of that group — it doesn't disappear, but there's nothing to do on it until the run resumes. On hold holds tasks from a paused run and always sits last, since there's nothing to act on until the run resumes. Filters above the list narrow by deal, automator, or kind (Task/Approval/Email review), plus an Include tasks for my roles toggle for role-assigned work nobody's claimed yet.

Acting on a row

  • A simple task assigned directly to you shows a checkbox — check it to complete it right there.
  • A role-based task nobody's claimed yet shows Claim.
  • An approval you're verifying shows its own check — select it to verify.
  • A waiting Decision, Form, or Instruction step shows which kind it is, its due date if it has one and, when the automator has one, the role that owns it — select Open to jump straight to it and answer it on the deal.
  • Open is always there too, taking you straight to that step on the deal.
  • A task from an automator that runs on a contact shows a person icon, Contact: and the person's name instead of a deal address. Check it off right here; Open takes you to the contact's Automations card with that run open (see Viewing a contact). It's listed under All deals only — the deal filter doesn't include it.

See Completing tasks and approvals for what happens on each kind, and Tasks on a deal for the same board scoped to one deal instead of just your own work.
