Exporting contacts and companies to CSV

Last updated 2026-10-11

Admins can download contacts or companies from the Contact Hub as a CSV file that opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers.

Exporting

  1. Open the Contacts or Companies tab and set up the list you want — pick a view, search, and filter as usual.
  2. Select Export CSV at the right end of the filters.
  3. The file downloads, named after the tab, your team, and today's date (for example contacts_Acme_Realty_2026-10-11.csv).

To export only certain records, select them first (see Selecting contacts and sending a deal). The button then reads Export N selected and exports just those.

One export holds up to 5,000 records. If the list matches more, the file has the first 5,000 and TED tells you so — narrow the filters and export again for the rest.

What's in the file

One row per contact or company, with these columns: Name, Types, Tier, Phones, Emails, Companies (on a company export, People), Owner, Last contacted, and Coverage — each role's coverage and markets, such as Buyer: Regional (Orlando, Tampa). A record with several phones, emails, or types lists them separated by semicolons.

Archived contacts and companies aren't included.

Who can export

Only admins see Export CSV. Each export is recorded with who ran it, when, how many records it held, and what was exported, and your team's activity shows an entry like "Dana Lopez exported 1,240 contacts". If TED can't record the export, the file doesn't download — try again once your connection is back.
